It seems that within the last few years of my life so much has changed, some good, some bad and some that I could have never predicted. I am so blessed and grateful to GOD for allowing me to go through all the things that have shaped me into the person I am. I have finally learned to sit back and let GOD do HIS work without input, distraction or an opinion. I remember ten years ago when I thought all I wanted to do was to teach. I just wanted to work with children and allow them to see that they all have the potential to do everything and anything that they want to do. That is still a goal of mine and now I know that my wildest dreams are within my reach. It took me a little while to accept the life that was given to me with all its challenges and obstacles, but now, I know this is me and I am happy with every part of me.
Yesterday, I signed my paperwork to become an official MAC makeup artist and as I was sitting there all I could think of was how I followed through, tested myself and pushed until I reached my goal. It wasn't easy and I still have a ways to go, but I am an artist and I do provide a service that I am proud of. I believe that GOD saw that I had something special to offer and pushed me in a direction that could help me establish me as an artist. I love what I do and I love making people happy. I love that someone saw that I had a talent and a skill and gave me a chance to prove that. This is a thank you to all those who allowed me to practice, those that told me I had a talent and those that never stopped pushing me. So I will keep you updated on my new job and all the new directions that GOD will lead me to go.

Whats been going on???
So I know its been awhile since I posted on my lovely blog and its only because there have been so many things going on in my life and the lives of the ones that I love. There are a few things that I do want to share and some that I want to let off my chest.
First, I got a call for my second interview at MAC at my local mall. I had been to the counter about a month before and the manager told me that they would be holding interviews in the early part of May. I was expecting the second or third week in May, not May 1st. The manager called the Tuesday before the 1st and asked me if I was still interested in a freelance position. I was thrilled and accepted my interview. I was told to bring a friend that I could use as a face model. I took my bestie and we showed up that Sunday for the interview. It actually wasn't what I expected. All week I was so nervous and thought the interview was going to be one thing, when it turned out to be something else. We were actually given 20 minutes to complete an everyday office look and 5 minutes to grab all the products that we needed. It went so well and I feel like I did excellent at the task. We were then told to transfer that look to a after work, date night look. That, to me, was very simple to do. We then went upstairs for our verbal interview and I was the second out of my group to be called back. I was not even nervous for that part of the day. I waited about a week to call the store to follow-up and the manager said she would make calls by the end of the following week. I received the good news that Tuesday that I was wanted to become a freelance artist at MAC Cosmetics. There were other ladies that were chosen as well and we will not be able to start our training until July. I am still very excited. I visited the local MAC pro store and the assistant manager there told me that she can't wait till I feel out all of my paper work so that I can come out there to use some hours. I am truly feeling blessed for this opportunity to go where I want to go in life and do the things that are going to make me happy.
Second, my personal makeup business is taking off so well thanks to some loving people in my area. I have met some wonderful people that are trying just as hard as me to establish their own businesses and I am doing whatever I can to learn from them and to assist them. I have been extremely busy this last month working with ladies attending prom. I was so honored to be able to have the opportunity to practice my talent on them and for them to even like my work enough to do so. It was a hectic month, but I was able to make it through and do so much.
So this is just a little re-cap of my month and I promise to get back on my blogging and updating you on all the new things in my life and the lovely world of makeup.
